 There is a magni cent sweep of mountain pastureland you’d swear you’ve seen before on picture postcards of the great American West. This scene, one can only surmise, had to have been the snapshot of home permanently etched in the recurring dreams of every 1800s-era homesteader. To see this place, to walk the land and breathe the air, is to understand why legions of settlers risked livestock, limbs and even their own lives to cross the Great Plains to Colorado. And stake their claims in the new frontier of Arvada.
