PARKS, HIKING & BIKING TRAILS AT CANDELAS & ARVADA, CO

TIME TO GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY.

A big part of Candelas life is strapping on your hiking boots (or running shoes, or cycling shoes, or ski gear) and heading outdoors for fun. A total of 13.5 miles of trails meander all throughout Candelas, and every one of them presents an opportunity to take a walk, jog, bike ride or hoof it on horseback. You can stay within the familiar confines of Candelas and explore all parts of the community, or enjoy direct access to open space lands and trails at the gateway of the Rockies.

There are a variety of nearby Arvada parks, biking trails, and hiking trails if you’re looking to explore outside of the Candelas-owned land. Also nearby is White Ranch Park, home to rock formations and 20 miles of multi-use trails. Coal Creek Canyon Park is also close by, a beautiful wilderness area that includes habitat for elk, bobcat, deer and mountain lions. And since Candelas is at least 30 minutes closer to the Rockies than other Denver Metro area locations, you enjoy easier access to hiking, mountain biking and world-class skiing located throughout the I-70 corridor.

The Candelas community is designed so that each and every home is no more than a half-mile from one of our Candelas parks or hiking trails. The five inviting parks of Candelas offer everything from tot lots and multi-purpose turf fields to playgrounds, climbing boulders and fitness stations. And for water fun, Welton Reservoir and Standley Lake are just minutes away. In other words, spontaneous family playtime is right outside your front door.
